Burns Day in Primary 1 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿😊

It has been a particularly busy week in Primary 1 as we learned about the famous Scots poet, Robbie Burns, and found out about some of the ways we celebrate his birthday each year.

In preparation for Burns Day, we all learned a Scots poem and worked hard to recite them beautifully to the class. We also designed some tartan using an online programme called, Tate Paint, and have worked on a special Scottish themed project with our buddies! 🥰 (More information to follow!)

Today, we enjoyed listening to three of our older pupils as they recited Robbie Burns poem, Address to a Haggis, before we ate lunch. Talking of haggis, we made a short video featuring a haggis as part of our whole school assembly. If you click on the video, you’ll be able to see what we’ve been up to! it really was quite a day! 🙈🤣

Happy Burns Day abidy! 🥳
