Remembrance Day in Primary 1

Welcome to our very first class blog on our brand new school website! What makes it even more lovely is the fact we are beginning with such a special event!! 🥰

Over the past week, we have been thinking about why and how we celebrate Remembrance Day. We learned that we wear a poppy on the 11th November to say thank you to all the soldiers who fought bravely to keep us safe. We also made our very own poppy display for the hall and learned a short poem about why we wear a poppy on Remembrance Day. ❤️

Today, we took part in the two minute silence and watched the fantastic Remembrance assembly produced by P5/6 and P7. Then we made our own little video to share our learning with you all at home.

We hope you enjoy it as we all really did very well to learn the poem in just two days. Even better was the fact we managed to record it with just one take! 👍🏻😊

All in all it was a very special morning!

Well done Primary 1, you truly are superstars! 🥰
