We encourage all pupils to wear school uniform. This helps to instil a sense of pride and team spirit within our school.
Our school uniform consists of a red sweatshirt, cardigan or tank top with school logo, white polo shirt
or white shirt with school tie, dark school trousers or skirt, dark school shoes (children should not
wear high heeled shoes as these cause safety concerns). Girls tartan items of school uniform are
also available to order.
Pupils, parents and staff were involved in choosing the current dress code and the items have
been selected so that pupils clearly identify with the school.
How children combine their choice of school uniform is individual and up to personal preference. There is also no requirement for children to wear ties.
There is no official PE kit for Whitehills School. We are quite happy as long as children wear a t-shirt (with no inappropriate logos), standard length shorts, socks, gym shoes (preferably with velcro or elastic fastening for younger pupils). Usually children would be encouraged to bring in a PE bag, however due to COVID-19 measures children should come to school dressed for PE.
Parents should note their responsibility to ensure all clothing and belongings brought to school should be named or marked in some way, as it is difficult for children to distinguish their own clothing from that of others.
